Lyric, the first extended wear hearing aid

The Clear Hearing Audiologists and staff have been carefully trained by InSound Medical to dispense and fit these innovative hearing aids designed for people with mild to moderately severe hearing loss. Extended wear. Lyric hearing aids can be worn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 2 to 3 months at a time before replacement by your audiologist is necessary. They are made of a soft material that contours to the ear canal comfortably. After a short 1 to 2 week adjustment period after initial placement, they cannot be felt at all. Lyric hearing aids can be worn during activities such as showering, athletics and sleeping. There are no batteries to change and no daily maintenance. Replacing the hearing aid is a brief 15-minute appointment.

Lyric Hearing

 

Invisible placement. Lyric hearing aids are placed deep inside the ear canal, right next to the eardrum, in what is called the "Acoustic Sweet Spot" (see diagram). This positioning is completely invisible and allows the natural human ear anatomy to direct sound waves efficiently into the Lyric device. Sound is amplified close to the eardrum which results in natural sound quality and a reduction of background noise.
